It was a special day for the "Alpsennerei Maran". Not that the dairy with master cheesemaker Walter Niklaus was amongst the winners at the "Swiss Alpkäse Awards" in St. Gall, that's quite normal. However, the gold medal in the category sheep and goat cheeses was for the white mold goat cheese made by... Selina Senti. And she is the apprentice in the dairy! Looks like a star is born.
